Philadelphia Zoo
The Philadelphia Zoo is a 42-acre garden that is home to more than 1300 animals. Opening back in 1874, the Zoo has been around for more than 140 years! As America’s first zoo, it is home to more than 1.2 million annual visitors. It is one of the most popular zoo’s across our nation and the world. The Zoo is located at the corner of 34th Street and Girard Avenue in Philadelphia’s historic Fairmount Park.
Parking spaces for guests with mobility limitations is available. Handicap spaces are available in Tiger Lot and in the Philadelphia Zoo’s Parking Garage. For any guest with a disability who purchases a ticket to the zoo and will attend the zoo with a Personal Care Attendant (PCA), the PCA will receive a complimentary ticket.
Motorcycle parking is available in the Philadelphia Zoo’s regular parking lots and garages.
Oversized vehicles can park in the Philadelphia Zoo’s Tiger Lot. There are spaces for oversized vans available there. There is an additional charge for vehicles who need to fill two spaces. The Philadelphia Zoo tries its best to have capacity for as many oversized vehicles as possible.
